It's the first day in London. Flew in economy class... not exactly what i'd expect. Came in to this hotel, which has a CASINO on the first floor. V basic room, quite ok location. what kills me is that my laptop is not compatible with their HIGH SPEED Internet connection. So now sitting in Co'motion, the coffee shop. 15mins for 4 pound, charged to credit card...
Second day was pretty cool. Got connection problem solved. Went to Portobello Road Market before we went pick up the client at the airport. Which means, rushed to the market and strolled and bought 3 pairs of earrings :-P Great accomplishement! Took the client on subway to get to China Town for lunch. They are pretty happy, coz haven't had more authentic Chinese food for a week. Then took a smaller group to Covent Garden Market. So crowded, but v much fun. In the evening went together to a local pub around the hotel, had Smirnoff ICE (!!!) and chips.
Today (3rd day) going to Cambridge. A Thames dinner cruise scheduled for Tuesday night. 95 pound/pp, heehee. Hope will get some free time in between these days and go grocery shopping and shoe shopping!
Actually the hotel is not so bad. Really good location, interesting flooring in the bathroom, nice shower gel and shampoo, different flavour Walker's biscuit daily, various events/activity at the coffee shop, comfy hotwater shower(Eva should know this best ;-) ), quality heavy curtains, retro decor (comment from the client, ha), etc.
